For all you guys out there, working out at home, especially you beginners…I have a great shoulder workout for you. Shoulders are a great muscle group that helps you look wide at the top, and slimmer at the waist. I am going to give you a great at home resistance band shoulder workout for beginners, so you can build bigger shoulders at home with only one piece of equipment. There are three muscle groups in your shoulders, your front, mid, and rear. The exercises in this workout are going to focus on working all three areas. Let’s get started with the exercises in this at home resistance band shoulder workout for beginners.
Exercise #1: MILITARY PRESS. You can do this standing up or sitting down. It can be a lot of resistance if you are standing on the band, so you can put your knees in the middle of the band to make the resistance better for the exercise. Push the band handles straight up and down in this exercise, it is almost as if you have a barbell in your hands.
Exercise #2: BENT OVER REAR DELT RAISES. Hinge at the hips and bend over, and raise your hands up as far as you can to the side. Experiment with the width of your feet to make sure you have enough resistance to start the exercise.
Exercise #3: LATERAL RAISES. Use your feet as the anchor for the bands, and this going to work the side or mid part of your delts. This is going to help you get wider looking shoulders. Keep your elbows slightly bent, and make sure your hands don’t go higher than your elbows.
Exercise #4: FRONT DELT RAISE. Use your feet as the anchor again. Lift the handles straight out in front of you about shoulder height. When you lower the bands down, do not bring them all the way down because there will not be any resistance there.
