Is it possible to build muscle with nothing but isometric exercises? You came to the right place, as I am going to tell if you can. Before we answer the question, let’s talk about isometric exercises as we begin. There are a few different ways to do isometric exercises, but I want you to think of it this way… If you go up to a wall and push as hard as you can, the wall and muscle are not moving. That is an isometric contraction. There are a lot of benefits to doing isometric exercises, such as increasing strength and recovery.

There is a limited amount of results you can get when doing only isometric exercises. You are not getting the stretching benefits when doing isometric exercises. There are 3 different types of contractions for building muscle, and that is why I created TRICON TRAINING to give benefits for all 3 different contractions.

TRICON TRAINING, is also known as triple contraction training. TriCon sets consist of 9 total reps, the first 3 are 3 explosive reps, the next 3 are 10 second isometric holds, and the last 3 are super slow reps (4 seconds up, 4 seconds down). During the 10 second isometric hold, you want to hold the contraction at the midrange of the movement. This is also a great form of exercise if you have had previous injuries that limit your mobility or cause pain. With TriCon Training, you can use lighter weight and still get amazing results.

When you lift really heavy weights, it takes a toll on your joints and puts more stress on them. You can use lighter weights with TriCon Training and still get good results because of getting the 3 different forms of contractions in this type of exercise.
