Are you looking for a leg workout you can do at home..with only dumbbells? Well good news… I am going to give you a leg workout you can do from the comfort of your own home, and all you need are dumbbells.
This workout is going to consist of 5 different exercises. We are going to do 10 reps for each exercise. You are going to do 3 total cycles, so after you do the first 5 exercises..you are going to rest for a minute and do them all over again for a total of 3 times.
Keep the rest to a minimum between each exercise. Now this workout is just a taste of what I include in my Fit After 50 program. So click on the link at the end of this to check out my Fit After 50 page.
Now let’s get started with this dumbbell leg workout at home.
Exercise #1… Goblet Squats. Hold the dumbbell close to your chest, and when you go down touch your elbows to your thighs.
Exercise #2… Single Leg Calf Raises. It can be easy to lose your balance, so put your hand against a wall to help maintain your balance.
Exercise #3… Romanian Deadlift. Try to keep your head up because what happens is when you look down your back rounds up at the top. You want to make sure to keep your back straight during this exercise.
Exercise #4… Two-Legged Calf Raises. You don’t want to do quick bouncing movements in this exercise. Really flex those calves and go as high as you can. Really hold and squeeze at the top of the movement.
Exercise #5… Dumbbell Lunges. For this exercise, you might need to lower the weight a little bit. Once you develop more of a mind muscle connection, your balance will get better in this exercise.
