Guys..2020 was definitely far from normal, so let’s start 2021 with a bang. If you are working out at home, get resistance bands and watch this video as I show you how to use resistance bands for beginners. Make sure to stick around to the end because I am going to show you how to take bands to the next level. I keep getting the question, where can I get those resistance bands? You can really get them anywhere, but the easiest place to get them will probably be Amazon. Resistance bands are a great piece of equipment for home workouts, and will help you optimize your workouts without having to go to the gym.

The bands come with different parts as well, like the anchor, handles, and clips. This will help you be able to use the bands in different ways to hit different muscle groups from different angles. Another tip when doing resistance band exercises is to make sure to really hold your contractions to optimize the most resistance you can.

Another question people ask me is, how do you know the correct resistance to use. You need to experiment with the resistance to see so that you can do about 15 reps that is mildly difficult to do. Keep track of the amount of resistance that you use to work on continually improving and adding more resistance as you go.

Also, when doing exercises, make sure to preload the bands with resistance to get the most out of the exercise. If there is not already resistance when you start the exercise then there will be less results from the workout. When using resistance bands, really use slow controlled movements to increase the amount of time under tension.

If you are doing a band exercise where you are standing in the middle of the bands, make sure it is even. You do not want to have more resistance on one side over the other because you want to work both sides evenly.

If you have a garage or a couple of doors that are close to each other, you can create your own cable crossover machines that would be used in a gym. You can do all kinds of exercises with this setup, so try to do this at home in your next band workout.
