Resistance Band And Dumbbell Leg Workout …https://www.liveanabolic.com
Hey guys, I know it can be the most dreaded day, but today is leg day! It can be so easy to get in an intense leg workout at the gym, but it doesn’t have to be different when working out at home. That is why I am going to give you a challenging resistance band and dumbbell leg workout at home. We are going to combine dumbbells and resistance bands for a couple of these exercises, which will make this workout even more intense. It doesn’t need to be expensive to workout at home, all you need are some dumbbells and resistance bands. For all of these exercises, aim for 10-12 reps with no rest between the exercises. This is a circuit style workout, so do each exercise once without rest then after the last exercise, rest for 60 seconds. Now, let’s get started with the exercises in this resistance band and dumbbell leg workout.
Exercise #1: BANDED DUMBBELL FRONT SQUATS. If you need more resistance in the bands, just widen your stance a little bit. Bring the dumbbells up to your shoulders with the elbows slightly rotated out. Hinge at the hips, and squat down, making sure to keep your knees behind your toes. The resistance band also helps to keep tension on your legs for the whole duration of the exercise.
Exercise #2: BANDED DUMBBELL RDL’S. The band will naturally pull you back, which will help you hinge at the hips. Just slide the dumbbells down your legs close to your body, and squeeze your glutes at the top of the movement.
Exercise #3: ALTERNATING REVERSE LUNGES. With lunges it is better to step backward in the stationary lunge, than it is to step forward. It will put less stress on your knees when doing a reverse lunge.
After this exercise, to finish off the first round of exercises, we are going to finish with an intensity technique. I want you to do JUMP SQUATS. Jump as high as you can, and make sure to land softly.
This is a great workout that you can do at home to work your legs. Aim for 3 to 5 rounds and you are going to get tremendous results.
