Guys… I know a lot of you out there have had a sore back before. Today I am going to have an expert talk to you about this problem, Dan is a Chiropractor and a Rehab Specialist. Dan is going to share with us what causes sore backs and how to fix them.
What is the cause of lower back pain? If we don’t know how it is caused then how are we going to find something to fix it. The number one reason for low back pain is TIGHT HIPS AND HAMSTRINGS. If you aren’t stretching your muscles, they shrink to fit. A lot of it starts with the hamstrings, which affect your hips, and if your hips aren’t as involved then it goes to your lower back.
There are some quick things that you can do to know about back pain at the moment, and help prevent it from coming back in the future.
Hamstring flexibility shoulder be that you can raise one leg 90 degrees, and should feel easy for you on both sides. If getting 90 degrees is really difficult then I have a stretch for you to do daily until that becomes easy. When doing this stretch, you want the pain to be barely tolerable. That means that the stretch is working.
It is okay if in the beginning you aren’t able to reach the 90 degrees. You need to work yourself toward, and I promise you you will feel so much better being able to do this stretch.
The next exercise I have is for your hips. You can use a small ball, like a softball or lacrosse ball. We are going to be doing some hip massages. A way to tell if you need it, is if it hurts to do. All a massage really is, is just pressure plus movement. Lay down on the ground, and wedge the ball in right around your waistband. Guys, the more this hurts, the more you need it. That just means you will see even more of a difference from doing this exercise. With this exercise, you only need to do it every three days. Session over session it will hurt less to do.
