Respected bodybuilder and fitness expert John Meadows passed away at the age of 49 in his sleep on Sunday after suffering a pulmonary embolism. He is survived by wife Mary and twin sons Jonathan and Alexander.
Known as the “mountain dog”, John was a reliable source of advice on all things bodybuilding and was trusted by many for his coaching services for their show prep.
To me, he was not only a standout in the fitness community but perhaps most impressively for his achievements off camera as a dad. In my conversations with John I could literally hear his smile every time the subject of his wife and kids was brought up.
We never really discussed fitness. Our chats would always turn back to our boys (he and I both have twin sons), football, family and dogs.
He will be sorely missed by all those who loved him and valued his teachings.
To assist the family in their time of need, a gofundme was established. I ask that if you found John’s information helpful over the years and are capable of a donation (however big or small) that you use the link below and do so. I personally would be grateful for your generosity.
John left an amazing legacy behind, not to mention an entire video library from which we can learn. Please be sure to also remember to subscribe to his channel and check out the information that he had to offer.
Rest in peace John.
You will be missed.
