It may seem easy, but getting back on track when you have hit a rut or are in a plateau can be difficult to do. There are different types of “getting off track”, maybe it is just a few days or a few weeks for some of you..or maybe it is a few months..and even worse a few years or more. That is why I want to give you a few tips on how to get back on track, no matter where you are. Now, here are some of those tips.
Tip #1: This first tip is more for you guys that have been off track for months and years. YOU HAVE TO STOP PROCRASTINATING! There is always a “reason” why you can’t do something, but this is a kick in the butt to tell you to just get after it. You don’t need to wait until January 1st to get started again or for the first time, just start right where you are at.
Tip #2: YOU HAVE TO MAKE EXERCISE A PRIORITY. What is more important than your health? Everyone has time to exercise, you just need to make it a priority. Don’t tell yourself you will do it tomorrow because odds are that as you are saying that, you have time to do the workout/exercise. Being unhealthy will affect your work, personal life, and so many other things. You need to take care of yourself! Do your best to try and pick a certain time each day to exercise, that is the best way to get started.
Tip #3: FOLLOW A GOOD PROGRAM. If you are a beginner or just getting back into the groove, it is not a good idea to just wing it. Follow a plan or tutorial videos to help you as you get back on track. You want your workouts to be productive, not just time where you think it is being productive. Whether it is a program you pay for, free programs, or free videos, follow some sort of direction when getting back into exercising/working out.
