What is better to do as a man over 50? High reps low sets or low reps high sets?

If you are over 50, you most likely want to build and maintain muscle. The best way to accomplish that is with lower reps high sets. Aim for 8-12 reps, and 3-4 sets.

If you are trying to build muscular endurance, you would aim for 15-20 reps and 2 sets. With this form, you are typically using lighter weights.

Which is better? Well that depends on what you are wanting to get from the training. Strength and muscle, or endurance.
