It happens to almost everybody at some point on their weight loss journey. That is okay..but I am here to help you get back on track with your weight loss. That is why I am going to give you tips on how to break through your weight loss plateau. If you are one of those people where you have been losing weight then all of a sudden the number on the scale isn’t going down anymore, this is for you. This is a common issue when losing weight.

Most of the time when you hit a weight loss plateau, it is because your body is getting used to the same routine and the lower caloric intake. Your body learns how to live with the changes you have made. So, here are 7 tips to break through this plateau, and help you get back on track with losing weight.

Tip #1: EAT MORE PROTEIN. This is necessary for your body to build muscle that you broke down during your workouts, but it also helps boost your metabolism. Protein also helps you feel more full from your meals. Whether it is fish, chicken, beef, just try to get more protein in your diet.

Tip #2: TRACK YOUR PORTIONS. Sometimes we tend to eat portions that are too big for what we need. Especially if you eat out, you may order more than you think you are going to get not realizing how big the portions are. Also, if you eat slower, it gives your body time to realize when it is full.

Tip #3: TRY A FAT LOSS SUPPLEMENT. There are so many different kinds of supplements out there, and they don’t always work for everyone. We have a supplement called ANABOLIC SHRED that you take before you eat a high carb meal, and this is designed to help you lose weight and burn fat. Give it a try if you haven’t yet, and if it doesn’t work for you that is okay.

Tip #4: DON’T OVER EAT AFTER A WORKOUT. Just because you had a big intense workout, does not mean that it is time to have a big meal. Don’t overdo it or “reward yourself” because that is going to ruin all the work you did in your workout.

Tip #5: STAY CONSISTENT WITH YOUR WORKOUTS. Don’t hit it hard for one week then take a week off. Make a plan or follow a plan that is made for you, and stick to it! If you are not consistent in your nutrition and workouts then you are not going to be consistent with your weight loss and muscle gains.

Tip #6: TRY TECHNOLOGY. There are many things that you possibly haven’t tried before, like counting your steps. It may be that you are living too sedentary of a lifestyle, and you need to get up and move for more than just a 30-45 minute workout.

Tip #7: DON’T OVERDO YOUR DIET. If you are trying to lose weight, you want to be eating at a caloric deficit..however, you do not want to be eating too few calories. It may work for a little bit, but when you overdo it. Your body will go into more of a starvation mode, and slows its internal metabolism down. You want to make sure that you are still fueling your body with what it needs to have a productive day.
