Alright, it is the final video in the set of 4 drop set workouts for men over 50. Today is leg day with a lower body workout with double drop set destruction. All of these exercises are going to use dumbbells, and there are only 3 exercises. It may not seem like a lot, but when you do double drop sets, you are going to feel the burn! Now, let’s get started with the 3 exercises in this lower body workout for men over 50 with drop set destruction.

Exercise #1: BULGARIAN SPLIT SQUAT. This exercise requires some balance, so you may need to practice without the dumbbells when first doing this exercise. If you have done this exercise before, you should be able to hop in no problem. You are going to have one foot back on the bench, chair, table, whatever you are using then the other foot out in front of you. Then you are going to squat down or lunge. You are going to do 10-12 reps then lower the weight and do 5-6 reps then lower the weight and do 4-6 reps again. Do one leg at a time then switch after the second drop set.

Exercise #2: LUNGES WITH DUMBBELLS. Normally when doing lunges, you would typically alternate after each rep. For this workout, you are to do one leg at a time because of the drop sets. Do the same thing with 10-12 reps then lower the weight and do 5-6 reps then lower the weight one more time and do 4-6 reps. Do this for each leg, one leg at a time.

Exercise #3: DUMBBELL SQUATS. Have your feet no more than shoulder width apart. Stick your butt out as you squat down. This will help you keep your back straight during the movement. Same thing, do 10-12 reps then drop the weight and do 5-6 reps then drop the weight one more time and do 4-6 reps.

Drop sets are a great way to increase the intensity of your workouts without using more weight or doing a lot of exercises. You don’t need to do drop sets on every set, do the drop sets on the 3rd or 4th set, depending on what your last set is.
