When it comes to making sure that you are going to get the best results from your workouts, it is important to make sure that you are putting the right foods in your body before the workout. The foods you eat before your workout are going to impact your energy levels and productivity in your workout. That is why I am going to give you 3 of the best and worst foods that you can have before a workout.
If you put the wrong foods in your body before a workout, you are not going to get as much out of it. We want to get as much bang for our buck when it comes to our workouts, so let’s make sure we are eating the right foods to do so. Before we get into the food, when should you eat? It is good to eat around 30 minutes before your workout, and it also depends on how much you are eating.
Best Food #1: SMOOTHIE. Having the fruit is a good source of natural sugar, and it takes slightly longer to digest. It is good to have slow digesting foods before a workout. You can also put whey protein in the smoothie, and it will help your muscles start replenishing from the stress of your workout.
Best Food #2: ANABOLIC ATP (PRE-WORKOUT). This is the best pre-workout on the market. Not only does it give you amazing energy for productive workouts, but it also promotes recovery as well. Drink this just before your workout for the best results, and if you feel itchy after drinking this..you know it is working in your body.
Best Food #3: RICE CAKES. It is a carb that is easy to break down, and it will help give you an energy boost. This food is also easy to take anywhere with you, and it won’t make you feel full or sluggish. They have good carbs, which will be a good source of energy for your workouts.
Worst Food #1: FATS. You want to avoid food that is high in fats. Fat mixes with all the ingredients or foods you eat, and slows down the digestion of all the food. It takes too long for the nutrients to be absorbed in your bloodstream, preventing you from getting the benefits you need for the workout.
Worst Food #2: CRUCIFEROUS VEGETABLES. These are great to eat throughout the day, just not before your workouts. They have a lot of fiber and are few in calories, loaded in micronutrients, overall amazing foods. When you start doing strenuous exercise after these foods, your stomach is not going to be happy with you.
Worst Food #3: REFINED SUGARS. It will cause your blood sugar to spike, giving you a big surge of energy..the problem is you are going to crash during your workout. This is typically in sports drinks and energy drinks.
