Two of the main goals for people on their fitness journey is to build muscle, lose fat, or both at the same time. Today, we are just going to focus on how to optimally build muscle. Similar to fat loss, there are a lot of things that go into building muscle…not just resistance training. When you are doing resistance training, you are breaking down your muscle fibers by making microscopic tears in your muscles.
The process of building muscle is not necessarily in the gym, but actually during the muscle recovery process. You break down your muscle fibers during resistance training. During recovery, your body is building muscle back up making them slightly bigger. However, there are things you need to do to optimize that muscle recovery and building process. From good quality sleep, eating enough protein, and other things…make sure to follow these tips for building muscle before bed.
