Do you want to get a bigger upper body, but you can’t always make it to the gym? Not a problem, there are ways to build more muscle from home, even though you don’t have all the equipment that a gym does. I am going to give you an at home muscle building superset workout for your upper body.

What is a SUPERSET? It is when you do 2 exercises back to back without any rest between those 2 exercises. Doing supersets in your workouts come with some great benefits. It helps increase the intensity of your workouts, it will help you build muscle and lose fat at the same time, and it will help increase your testosterone levels. Let’s get started with this upper body superset workout at home.

Superset #1: PUSH-UP SUPERSET WITH SIDE LATERAL RAISE. Do the best you can to already have the second exercise set up, so that you are not having to rest after the first exercise. We are going to be targeting our chest and triceps with the pushups, and the lateral raise is going to work your shoulders. We are going to do 12-15 reps of each exercise. Make sure to use slow and controlled reps.

Do 3 total sets of the superset with 60-90 seconds of rest between each set. After you do 3 sets, we are going to go into the next superset.

Superset #2: BACK ROW SUPERSET WITH DUMBBELL SHRUGS. This is going to work your lats and your traps. When doing the shrugs, focus on holding the squeeze at the top of the movement for a couple of seconds. Now onto the next superset after you complete 3 sets of these exercises.

Superset #3: BICEP CURLS SUPERSET WITH OVERHEAD SHOULDER PRESS. When doing the bicep curls, start with your palms facing your sides then rotate them upwards as you bring the dumbbells up. For the shoulder press,bring the dumbbells down slowly then explode on the way up. After 3 sets of this superset, we are going to do our final superset.

Superset #4: INCLINE PUSH-UP SUPERSET WITH OVERHEAD DUMBBELL TRICEP EXTENSION. If you have a heavy enough dumbbell for the overhead extension, use one dumbbell. If you only have light dumbbells, you can use 2 dumbbells when doing this exercise.
