Diet Trick: CARB CYCLING. It is easy to do, but you are going to need to track how many carbs you are eating. In the beginning, you are going to need to track everything that you are eating for about a week. Carb-cycling boosts your metabolism and helps your body produce more testosterone.
On the low carb days, you are going to do this when you are not working out. If you are following a specific program, you most likely have a couple days off a week. On low carb days, you only want to eat about 50 grams of carbs.
On moderate carb days, I want you to eat ½ a gram of carbs per every 1 pound of bodyweight. Your workout days are going to be the days where you have moderate carb days. Your body needs protein to build the muscle, but it also needs to have some carbs.
Now, you get ONE high carb day. Try to do this on a workout day, and for this day you get 2 grams of carbs for every 1 pound of bodyweight.
Doing these 3 types of carb-cycling is tricking your body and keeping it guessing. This helps to keep your metabolism high because your body doesn’t get used to it and doesn’t lower your metabolic rate.
