It is possible to build a bigger chest at home, and the cool thing..you don’t need any equipment. I am going to give you a great bodyweight only chest workout at home for men over 50. A lot of the exercises in this workout are push-up variations that will help target all areas of your chest. Push yourself and listen to your body, when challenging yourself with the number of reps you can do. Let’s get started with the exercises in this chest workout at home for men over 50.
Exercise #1: SCORPION PUSH-UP. Get in a regular push up position, go down, and as you push up you are going to raise one leg and push back. Go down again, and raise the other leg and push up. This is also going to work your core and your shoulders as well.
Exercise #2: HEAD ELEVATED PUSH UP. You are going to have your feet on the ground, and have your hands on a table, chair, or something elevated off the ground. This is going to focus on your lower chest, and this is a little easier because a lot of your body weight is transferred to your feet.
Exercise #3: ALLIGATOR PUSH-UP. As you go down, you are going to bring your knee to your elbow then go back up. When you go down again, you are going to bring your knee to your other elbow. This is also going to work your core and obliques in this exercise.
Exercise #4: BEAST PUSH-UP. Start off in a traditional push up position. Go down then as you push up, you are going to bend your knees and push back. Your knees are still going to stay off the ground. This is a tougher variation, so try to do as many as you can.
